Could making maths and literacy lessons more of a ‘life lesson’ be a total game changer for some?
Whether students are a natural at these subjects or not we know everyone has a preferred way of learning and with activities and scenarios connected to something familiar, from the ‘real world’, we aim to make the core subjects far more enjoyable.

The lesson plans all have an automotive theme with Maths covering statistics, data analysis, sequencing, measuring, budgeting and finance – all of which are useful in life as well as in the classroom.
In the meantime the literacy lessons focus on developing reading, writing, spoken language plus grammar and vocabulary as the students work on their letter and CV writing, hold group discussions and experience role play whilst expanding their knowledge of the automotive industry.
Some of the activities included in the lesson plans will also be familiar with the class as they are inspired by popular TV shows such as Top Gear and Family Fortunes as well as the Cluedo and Who Am I? games.
