The IMI Skill Auto team have had a busy week at the Henry Ford Academy

It was our first year at the Henry Ford Academy hosting the Technology National Qualifiers and we were excited about welcoming 30 finalists through the doors last week. They were faced with 6 tasks to test their skills set in Automotive Technology and had the opportunity to use the world class facilities at this fantastic venue.

Our six expert judges oversaw and scored their efforts where each competitor hopes to secure their place at the finals in November at WORLDSKILLS UK LIVE. The top six competitors from the National Qualifiers (top 6 throughout the 5 days) will find out on the 1st September if they have done enough to gain a much sought after ticket to this event.

The IMI Skill Auto competitions are managed on behalf of WorldSkills UK by the IMI in association with Forte Lubricants, Textar and Electude.

The IMI would like to thank Henry Ford Academy for their kind support of this competition by offering the use of their venue and facilities.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to our judges that offer their time and expertise to make this competition possible.

Well done to all competitors.
