ONE WEEK TO GO
On the 1st March, Competitor Registration opens on the Skills Show website where employers, training providers and colleges will be able to nominate students and apprentices studying towards a level 3 qualification (or completed their qualification within the last year)
Those that are nominated will be sent a link to their email address provided instructing them of the next process.
NEW THIS YEAR
Centres will be able to register with WorldSkills UK as many entrants as they wish for the Technology, Body Repair, Refinishing and Heavy Vehicle Engineering competition. Light Vehicle Technology has not only had the restriction of five per campus/site lifted, all registrants will this year be invited to attend a selected centre to complete the online test under exam conditions.
The online test process for the other streams, Body Repair, Refinishing and Heavy Vehicle Engineering, will operate as in previous years but also have the restriction removed. We hope to be able to adopt the new system for all competitions in 2019, enabling more young people to enter.
Unfortunately, due to budget restraints, we are unable to support travel costs for those progressing to the practical qualifying rounds, however IMI Skill Auto will still provide overnight accommodation and meals for competitors at the competition venues for the night before the competition.

From the 1st March, students and apprentices can be nominated online and they will receive instructions via their email address provided.
