Meet Jordan Hemsley, our Refinishing IMI Skill Auto 2017 Finalist
College – Central College Nottingham
Employer – NK Motors (Kia Dealership)
We went to visit Jordan ahead of the finals at his workplace, NK Motors where we also had the opportunity to meet his employer, here’s what Jordan had to say –
“n leaving school I didn’t know where I wanted to go in all honesty. My step dad had a job in the industry and that’s how I got the job here. I haven’t looked back. I went to college to study gaming design but it wasn’t for me. The school said it was a good idea to get a trade so here I am!
The best part of the national qualifiers was meeting the other finalists. You learn lots from them like their painting techniques. It was a really good venue. You learn that no matter where you come from, you all get along as you have stuff in common. We’re all friends on Facebook now.
I’m looking forward to the experience. To show others what I can do. I would definitely encourage others to get involved..
In the future I would like to go into International Representative for a car company. I’d get to see the world.”
