This module supports the AMA competencies "Develops self" and "Joined-Up Thinker" at Level 3. It will provide managers with a clear understanding of the benefits of self development in terms of their own careers and the performance of their teams and the business overall. It will explore the role of professionalism and ethics in modern management and enable managers to take control of their own learning and generate measurable impacts in their own performance.

Who is the course for?

You will be able to: • Define “professionalism” and explain its relevance to their own role • Demonstrate an ability to respond to developmental feedback positively and use it to improve their own knowledge, skills and attitude • Describe the relevance of ethics and integrity to sustainable business performance and give examples of this in practice • Develop an action plan for their own development, linked to their personal, team and organisational performance • Explain the importance of continuing professional development in the context of their own role • Describe the competencies necessary for their own role / a role to which they aspire and how these might be developed and demonstrated.
